On June 7, 2019 St. Anthony Upper Elementary School will host a career fair. The purpose of this fair is to expose our students to various career paths. By having the volunteers available for our students, we believe that our students will gain motivation towards their own career planning.

5 Volunteers from different professions are needed from 12pm-3pm to:
1). Set up the Kohl’s booth for the career fair. Children will visit the Kohl’s booth to ask questions of how each volunteer reached their career.
3). Volunteers will present for 45 mins to each grade level. The volunteers will speak of their careers, daily tasks, and the education that was required
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will rotate through the various booths to learn about different types of careers. Each class will have 45 minutes to rotate through the various booths. There will be several students at a time visiting the Kohls Careers booth.
This job fair is crucial for our students. Our students will learn that there are many different types of professions they may not have heard of. The greater the exposure our students have to different career paths, the greater the probability will be of our students obtaining a career. It gives our students a sense of hope that they can find a career that fits their own personality.

Thank you for considering our request. Kohl's is an employer of choice in the Milwaukee area, and we would be honored to have your associates at our career fair.

We're a small non-profit, (small as in almost no budget at all), but we've been around 40 years, beginning as a 501(c)(3) neighborhood organization in Portland, ME and now do everything from helping with heating assistance to the poor during winter month, to helping clothe at-risk school kids. We'd love help; really ANY help. From volunteering to set up at our community events to helping us spruce-up our website or help with some t-shirt designs we'd like to sell. - The amazing thing is that, with your help, Benevity and your very kind, generous employer provides us with donations based on your volunteer hours, if you want them to. We'd love to meet you. :-)
