The HopeKids Charity Golf Classic will be held on Monday, August 31 at The Grove. This will be a great day of golf and friendly competition - while raising money to provide an ongoing calendar of free events for children with cancer or other life-threatening medical conditions and their families. This will be the first major fundraising event for the sixth and newest chapter of HopeKids - serving families in the Middle TN area and nearby region.

Lanzamos esta campaña "MeSumoALaBiblio" para garantizar la continuidad pedagógica de los participantes de la biblio con alimentos y conectividad.
Sabemos que es un momento difícil para todos, pero sin dudas cualquier aporte que puedas dar será de gran ayuda para colaborar con aquellos que más lo necesitan.
Ante el covid-19 tuvimos que reorganizar la modalidad y métodologia de las actividades que desarrollabamos pero tenemos un gran desafío. Necesitamos poder brindar a 38 familias que participan de la biblioteca de dispositivos tecnológicos: tablets - notebook - computadoras en buenas condiciones y datos móviles, además de refuerzos alimentarios.

Position Title: Fundraising Volunteer


Goal or purpose of position: The fundraising volunteer provides a range of support activities for Bethesda House Inc. The goal of the position is to assist in successful operations of the Bethesda House Inc. mission in order to ensure proper funding.

Major responsibilities (the following is a list of possible activities for a volunteer but not an all inclusive list nor is any volunteer expected to fill all of these roles.)

• Assisting in the development and implementation of a coordinated fundraising program.
• Planning for and managing of fundraising events.
• Handling donor acknowledgements and thank you letters.
• Identify donor prospects and research donor prospects.
• Data entry and maintenance of the data base.
• Solicitations of corporate sponsors, financial gifts, and gift-in-kind donations.
• Interacting with donors and conducting donor meetings.
• Development of donor materials, presentations, and mailings.
• Serves as an ambassador for the organization and promotes a positive image/ reputation of the ministry.

Qualifications (required, desired):

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Available by phone and e-mail
• No previous felony convictions: subject to a criminal background check.

Time commitment: A minimum of 4 hours per month, however, more is preferred.

We provide support and services to anyone affected by cancer by delivering cancer care counselling, support groups, gentle exercise programs, coping programs, kids’ program, wigs to those losing their hair because of cancer treatment, post-mastectomy camisoles to women, head coverings and fabric face masks.

• Attending some special events and fundraising activities.

• Championing HopeSpring and speak up for those affected by cancer throughout Waterloo Region, Guelph, Wellington and Grey-Bruce Counties;

Adrenaline Therapy is a program being implemented where we allow active or veteran military or first responders personnel into an off-road desert race vehicle as a navigator.
This gives these individuals the adrenaline rush that they crave, and puts them back into the team-like atmosphere, which gives them the sense of purpose again.
We take them out of their element and show them that there is more to life and there are people who care.
Adrenaline Therapy also offers extended opportunities to bring Veterans to race events. Through these opportunities, we connect them with race teams that need assistance in the pits, or that are willing to provide a seat for the Veteran in the car during the race.
This brings a sense of belonging on a team again for the Veteran and be a part of a fast-paced environment
Our goal is to raise money to build two complete simulator trailers. These trailers would house six racing simulators each and an off-road desert car.
This would allow us to increase our reach to a VA hospital and other organizations. Additionally, Veterans who are unable to get into a real off-road car due to a physical limitation, the ability to experience the thrill of off-roading by sitting in the seat of the simulator.
Furthermore, would also be able to attend large state side races with the trailers to raise awareness of Veteran suicide
