MAKE YOUR MARK. SUPPORT THE TRANSFORMATION OF HEALTH CARE IN EAST AFRICA!

LifeNet International (LN) is currently seeking an experienced Google AdWords user/specialist to optimize the organization's account and fully leverage Google for NonProfits' $10,000 per month of donated ad space.

ORGANIZATION:

LN is a nonprofit organization that provides innovative solutions for the everyday health challenges facing East Africa’s poor. In 2011, LN launched its conversion franchise network in Burundi to build the capacity of 10 local health facilities through nurse training, management training, growth financing, and medicine supply. We have since expanded to meet the severe primary health care needs in the region. Today, we support a growing network of 100 partner facilities in Burundi, Uganda, and the DRC. These facilities provide care for over 1.1 million patient visits per year. Our goal is to improve clinical performance 50% within 24 months of partnership. In addition, LN aims to achieve financial sustainability of local operations through our pharmaceutical supply and growth financing channels.

Uganda, Burundi, and the DRC have the lowest human development rating given by the UNDP. In Burundi, 10% of children die before the age of 5; in Uganda and the D.R. Congo, child mortality is 6.9% and 11.5%, respectively. None of these countries reached the Millennium Development Goals to reduce the 1990 child mortality rates by 2/3rds. Diseases such as malaria, AIDS and tuberculosis continue to spread and are aggravated by malnutrition, poor sanitation, and inadequate health care solutions. In the midst of these realities, LN aims to make transformational, sustainable improvements in the health of East Africa’s poor through our clinical franchise network.

OPPORTUNITY:

This volunteer will work with our small US support team to build and optimize LN's Google AdWord's account. This account supports our multi-faceted clinical operations in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Uganda. The volunteer will review LN’s current AdWords account, the organization’s needs, and provide a recommendation for integration of AdWords functionalities into the organization’s broader marketing and communications strategy. Once the recommendation is discussed and approved, the volunteer will implement a new Google AdWords campaign based on agreed-upon deliverables.

Strong English language skills are required. French language skills are also preferred but are not required.

Seeking 5-7 Volunteer Assistant Directors of Development

Are you a tortoise? Slow and steady? With a passion about the grind and can devote the 5-15 hours needed per week to get the job done? Peacebuilding Solutions is looking for part-time Volunteer Assistant Directors of Development for our 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

It will be highly varied, and it’s a remote position involving the coordination with development staff: so fundraising, donor relations, and partnering with Marketing for awareness.

We are excited to provide letters of recommendation when volunteers help us achieve our mission.

Peacebuilding Solutions needs assistance with development in these areas:

Corporate, Foundations, Online, & Individual

This might be a job for you if:

You have clear organizational skills; expertise in management and knowledge of nonprofit development (preferably for smaller nonprofits since we have very few resources to start).

You like a variety of work and are adaptable, able to handle criticism well, curious, passionate and eager to learn.

You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without being asked. You are capable of understanding other populations in the world, especially those less fortunate.

And would be perfect for you if:

You are creative! We are interested in taking on an entrenched system of Western imperialism & colonialism; we don’t want to use the same tools which built it.

----

To land this gig, we need someone who’s not a supernova: lights up brightly, burns out fast. If you can channel your inner tortoise and have experience in previous development positions, we want to talk to you. Questions we will ask are related to your nonprofit experience such as how much funding did you raise, and what avenues did you use?
