Scottsdale International Film Festival is a non profit organization dependent on sponsorships, grants, donations, ticket sales and membership fees to fulfill its mission. We are inviting volunteers to assist us with our membership drive as we work to grow our member base and sustain our work.

Volunteers will be asked to call our list of past Festival attendees, invite them to consider our membership options, and assist them with signing up where successful. Scripts will be provided in advance, and volunteers will be thoroughly briefed.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the leading national not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.
Every year suicide claims more lives than war, murder, and natural disasters combined, and yet suicide prevention doesn't get anywhere near the funding given to other leading causes of death. It's up to Walkers like us to make a difference. Together we can change the conversation about mental health and put a stop to this tragic loss of life.
Community members in Central Arkansas and the surrounding area will be holding a community walk on Nov. 4, 2018. Volunteers are needed to help us the day of the event. Volunteers are needed for setup/breakdown, registration, walker activity tables, VIP lounge, rose memorial area, rest stops, etc.

The event draws close to 700 attendees and we need nearly 40 volunteers total to make the event run smoothly. This is an uplifting, hope-filled, yet emotional event, so seeking 5-10 Kohl's volunteers to help with the event in 2018. Our goal is to bring together our military, veteran and civilian community to have FUN!! This is our second Patriot 5K and last year it was a blast! We have red, white and blue color stops along the route and this year it will be a chipped time event! Family friendly.

Opportunity Details

We will be selling hotdogs, hamburgers and homemade treats in front of Sams Club to help raise money for care packages for our military and veterans! Our goal is $700.00. This fundraiser is important to our Chapter by helping to raise money towards mailing costs. One care package is between $16.00-$22.00. We send approximately 80-100 per year!
