Opportunity Details
This position reports to the Partnership and Fundraising Coordinator. The successful candidates will be responsible for the implementation of the organisation’s fundraising strategy, initiatives (e.g. events) and the management of online fundraising platforms.1. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Organising and managing Online and Offline Fundraising Initiatives and Events to meet funding needs.
• Cultivating and maintaining good donor relationships: e.g. ensuring that the various donors receive updates and feedback about their support and progress of work/ donations.
• Developing and implementing Fundraising Strategies to secure funding needs.
• Identifying and analysing funding opportunities, and Responding according to the requirements.
• Creating compelling fundraising materials
• Staying updated on funding opportunities and fundraising trends.
2. KEY REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & PROFICIENCY AREAS
• Certificate or Diploma in Marketing or Project Management or other disciplines
• Strong Communication Skills
• Grant writing expertise: Knowledge in Project Concepts and Proposal Writing
• Ability to build and maintain donor relationships
• Proficient in resource mobilisation and management tools
• Flexible, adaptable and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple tasks

Opportunity Details
Throughout the year, Habitat for Humanity Victoria hosts or attends a variety of community events. Our annual holiday Gingerbread Showcase, the Victoria Marathon, sporting events, local markets, and more. These events assist in our community outreach, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and brand awareness for our ReStores and organization. Volunteers are a key component for us to be able to host and attend these events.Community Ambassadors may assist with: greeting visitors, answering questions, donations, running games, set up, take down, marketing collateral, and more.

Site Set-Up Team: Unloading trucks and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs, hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)
Site Tear Down Team: Cleaning up the event site, taking down decorations, signage and banners, breaking down tents, tables, and chairs, organizing and loading supplies on trucks (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)

Opportunity Details
The Thames Hospice Weekly Lottery is a key fundraising activity for the Hospice helping raise vital funds to provide care for patients in and around the community. The Lottery has over 18,000 lines all of which stand a chance of winning the weekly top prize of £1,000 and the rollover prize which can reach a massive £10,000.Purpose of role:-
We are looking to build a team of ambassadors who can help the Fundraising Team increase awareness of the Thames Hospice Weekly Lottery and get more people playing.
Main tasks:-
- Setting up and staffing the promotional lottery stand at;
- Thames Hospice Events
- Thames Hospice Partner Events
- Local Community Events
- Distributing lottery leaflets to event attendees and general public
- Guiding interested people through the sign up process via an iPad stand.
- Answering questions about the lottery – how it works, chances of winning, allocation of funds, sign up methods
- Recording information, feedback and leads for follow up purposes to the Fundraising Team.
Training and Support:-
- Full training given regarding Gambling Commission regulations.
- Training provided by Fundraising Team on use of tablet set up – very easy!
- Support on hand from Fundraising Team
Special conditions:-
- Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle would be desirable.
- Need to be available on occasional weekends and evenings
- Comfortable working outside at times

- Good people skills
- Friendly and approachable
- Motivated and professional
Important note: This is not a cold-sales role. The people you meet will be Thames Hospice supporters or aware of the good services we offer. There is no target on sign ups.

Purpose of Role:-To support with the upcycling of donated furniture and homeware items to sell in our shops to raise vital funds for the hospice.
Hours:-
This is a flexible opportunity with no fixed hours or duration, weekdays only. You can dip in and out to suit your availability.
Main Tasks:-
- To assist in the identification of furniture or any other items suitable for upcycling
- To strip, clean and prepare suitable furniture or any other items suitable for selling
- To paint and repair furniture or any other items suitable for selling
- To assist with furniture or any other items suitable for selling final decoration using decorative techniques
Training and Support:-
- The Workshop Assistant will induct you on the ‘workshop’ and the team will show you how to prepare and decorate furniture
- All areas of Health & Safety and COSHH will be covered in the initial induction training and annual training thereafter
Knowledge, skills and abilities required
- A natural flair for creative design and a keen interest in arts and crafts
- Ability to get along with people and work as part of a team
Please wear clothes you are willing to paint in.

- Advising and helping customers as they browse
- Visual merchandising - ensuring the shop looks it’s best and is on-trend
- Receive donated goods and sort, price and prepare for sale
- Operating the till and dealing with various types of payment
- Answering customer enquiries
- Keeping an eye on the security of the shop
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Promote Gift Aid, the Hospice Lottery and other incentives
Training and Support:-
- We will provide the training you need to feel confident in the role
- The shop manager and other employees will be available give advice and assist you,
as well as other experienced volunteers in the team
- You will receive annual mandatory Health and Safety training
