Our 6 Degrees event brings you into direct conversation with underserved middle school scholars who are considering their future opportunities. Your participation will make it possible to create valuable connections that increase students' depth of knowledge about college and career pathways. Scholars will visit career booths and network with you. You will mentor them through 1:1 conversations where you introduce your profession, share your experiences in the field, educate about skills required, recommend colleges, and review student resumes.

With multiple career booths, we have a place for you. Target areas include:

• Architecture and Construction
• Art and Design
• Engineering and Technology
• Entrepreneurship
• Finance
• Human Resources
• Law
• Life Science and Medicine
• Marketing, Public Relations and Sales
• Operations
• Social Responsibility and Nonprofit

We are always looking for like minded people who are keen to support the Foundation with ad hoc fundraising and project focused tasks in exchange for learning opportunities and exposure to our work.
We ask for a 3 month minimum commitment of a few hours per week.

Currently looking for a board secretary. As the board secretary, the volunteer will perform the following duties:
1. Is a member of the Board.
2. Schedules and regularly attends board meetings and important related meetings.
3. Prepares the agenda with input from other Board of Directors and Executive Director.
4. Prepares the official minutes of the meeting and records motions, discussions, votes, and decisions.
5. Distributes agenda and relevant documents one week before meetings.
6. Ensures minutes are distributed to members shortly after each meeting.
7. Is sufficiently familiar with legal documents (articles, by-laws, IRS letters, etc.) to note applicability during meetings.
8. Maintains records of the board and ensures effective management of organization's records.
9. Assures that documents are filed and accessible.
10. Holds members accountable for their tasks.
11. Gets to know other committee members and builds a working relationship that contributes to consensus.
12. Makes serious commitment to participate actively in committee work.

The Elm Road School community provides a positive learning environment in which students develop their potential as life-long learners and responsible citizens. The Elm Road Elementary PTO's mission is to enhance the educational experience of the students through programs and events. Learning programs such as Flocabulary and Accelerated Reader are fully supported by the PTO; additionally, field trips, equipment, teacher/staff appreciation, robotics, STEAM projects, community events, and many other important endeavors also rely on this fundraiser in order to continue. 100% of the funds raised at this event will be used to benefit the students and staff of Elm Road Elementary. We are a Title 1 school, meaning at least 40% of our students come from low-income households. We work hard to provide all our students with equal opportunities try to make sure our students don't miss out. Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thank you for your consideration.

The Starehe Foundation Inc is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that is located in Lowell Massachusetts whose mission is to leverage financial, material, and human resources support to enable the provision of quality secondary education to bright but needy students in the Starehe Boys and Girls Schools in Kenya, East Africa.

We are looking for a dedicated fundraising volunteer to help in resource mobilization that will enable us to reach our fundraising goals.

Some of the roles of the resources mobilizer include:
• Researching potential sponsors/donors
• Writing funding proposals and communicating with potential sponsors.
• Creating marketing and promotional activities.
• Developing and executing fundraising initiatives.
