Stories of Light® is a three-day radiothon Nov 16-18 and the largest annual fundraiser for Make-A-Wish® Oklahoma. KRMG’s Morning News Host Dan Potter will broadcast live from LaFortune Park each day to tell heartwarming and inspiring stories from Wish Kids and their families. These stories serve as inspiration and motivation for KRMG listeners and the community to contribute to Make-A-Wish Oklahoma. Wish stories from children whose wishes have already been granted are told over the radio. These stories are very dramatic and compelling to the listening audience. Volunteers are vital to the success of this fundraiser.

This weekend at the Sandy Expo Center (off 106th) we are part of the Pinners UTAH event and we need some volunteers!
Hours are Friday from 930am to 8pm (can come for ANY 2-3 hour segment- do NOT have to stay the whole time)
Saturday from 830am to 7pm- again- any 2-3 hour segment IS HELPFUL!

ASSIGNMENT:
Talk to people about our cause, (long term self reliance for women rescued from sex-trafficking in the Philippines, India, Cambodia, Peru, Dominican Republic and Kenya)
Share the story of our NEW Childrens illustrated book called The Purple Dress
Wear beautiful artisan quality jewelry and talk about it to others.

For 40 years, Aspire Living & Learning has served individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) including autism and other neurodiverse conditions. We are currently recruiting new board members to participate in supportive philanthropy, act as ambassadors for Aspire Living & Learning, actively participate in board meetings, and adhere to the fiduciary principles of carrying out board responsibilities with the utmost degree of good faith.

We currently seek board members who:

• Live in or near Aspire New Hampshire, Massachusetts or Connectictut bases of
operation (Concord, Manchester, Merrimack, Stratham, NH; Leominster, MA;
Meriden, Hamden, Naugatuck, Stamford or Stratford, CT)
• Have some experience, passion, or interest in supporting and advancing the I/DD
and autism communities or, additionally for CT residents, supporting and advancing
youth in foster care
• Have a philanthropic outlook – individuals who are willing to lead with meaningful,
progressive annual gifts and spread the message of Aspire’s value to their
community, among their community and networks
• Are persons of color - in our DEI work, we have come to see that people of color are
underrepresented on the Aspire board and we are looking to rectify this and gain the
value, expertise and lived experience of these individuals in advancing Aspire's goals

Meeting Commitments and Further Info

Our board term is three years. The meetings are quarterly the second Mondays of September, December, March and June 4pm-6pm virtually. We also expect board members to actively serve on at least one committee, participating in committee meetings and following through on commitments made.

The money raised will go towards financial grants and no-cost medical assistance to dire need, retired NFL players from a forgotten era. Gridiron Greats also provides protective sports equipment to financially at risk boys and girls youth sports teams in Naples.
Must be 21 years of age.
We are there to put on a successful event. There will be no consumption of alcohol. We ask that you do not take photos or ask the celebrities for autographs. Dress is business casual attire, with all pieces of clothing being appropriate lengths and cuts . We also ask that all volunteers wear comfortable shoes, as you will be on your feet the entire event!
For both shifts, we will be practicing social distancing and wearing masks, especially around guests. The safety of our guests, volunteers, foundation team, venue contacts, and vendors is our number one priority!

Why need Volunteers

At present We are suffering to find out fund for the daily needs of our inmates. Now we have accommodated 1254 inmates in our various homes. Due to covid and lock down we are facing difficulties to meet the funds for the daily needs of inmates.We are providing food, medicine, medical treatment, counselling, therapy and vocational training..etc. So we need volunteers for mobilizing funds. Our expenditure is approximate 134438 dollar for 2021-22 to meet daily needs of inmates and salary of staffs
