We ask for a 3 month minimum commitment of a few hours per week.

HELP FEED the CHILDREN - PROJECT COMMUNITY FOOD BANK and KITCHENThere is a need locally to help single-parent families as well as senior citizens wth food, clothing and occasionally with some extra cash. The “welfare system” in Colombia is very different from the United States and does not provide much assistance in the way of housing, food, child services or medical services.
There is no government-sponsored “central food bank” from which we can obtain the food we want to distribute. As a result, we often have to buy the food ourselves out of our own very limited resources and then distribute it.
The typical American-style Church, with large parking lots and spacious sanctuaries and built-in commercial kitchens, are simply not found in Colombia. Neither are the shopping center store fronts that are commonly used by churches in the United States.
In spite of the challenges, we serve a Mighty God and we know that He IS faithful!
The needs of a growing Church may seem enormous ... but we serve an even BIGGER GOD than our needs!
We are all very excited to see what the Lord has been able to do with the support that you have given us these past several years! We continue to minister to those in our local communities and encourage them to participate in these mission expansion efforts.
Your one-time gift is greatly appreciated as well as your recurring monthly pledges and support! Thank you for your consideration and participation.
In His Service,
Dr. Steven A Wylie, Senior Pastor
Pastor Diana Rodriguez-Wylie
Pastor Lori Needham

SID's Mission and Board Requirements:Strategies for International Development (SID) designs, proves, and promotes better methods for helping poor farmers graduate from poverty. The Board of Directors ensures that SID is doing the best job possible to achieve this mission and has adequate funding to carry out the programs that achieve it. Members attend on average four meetings a year, either in person or via Zoom, to review progress and make decisions. They serve for three-year terms and can be appointed for successive terms in accordance with SID's Bylaws.
Specific Focus for the New Member:
SID uses a regional approach to help poor farmers graduate from poverty with the common cash crop of the region. Farmers define the practices they need to adopt in order to graduate from poverty. Local officials and primary school teachers teach and promote their adoption. SID conducts demonstration shows in the practices and also provides monthly technical assistance in the practices in communities that agree to adopt all of them. The technical assistance goes to the communities that will make best use of it, and they become leaders for the others to follow. (See, Everett Roger's theory of the diffusion of agricultural innovations.)
We also help women in these communities to set personal goals, solve common problems, and make business plans so that they can participate equally in the technical assistance in the common cash crop. They build businesses more equally with their husbands or on their own, and the great majority of them combine their personal growth and business planning to build second businesses as well.
We are looking for a board member who will pay particular attention to this program and its advancement.
Requirements:
• Strong interest in international development, in particular agricultural development and helping poor farmers graduate from poverty.
• Strong interest in and commitment to equal opportunities for women and their advancement.
• Interest in keeping abreast of strategies for women's advancement in developing countries.
• Experience in living and working in development countries a plus.
• Willingness to travel and visit programs a plus.

We are looking for a volunteer who can lead efforts to create partnerships with tea/coffee estates.**Description of project**
Objective of the project is to identify coffee and tea plantations in India, Laos, Nepal, or East/West Africa that would like to parter with us to disseminate Prakti cookstoves among their workers living on their estate. Details at www.prakti.in
In order to do that, one needs to
i) Conduct research to identify relevant coffee and tea plantations (location, size, type of crop, etc),
ii) Determine the contact information of decision makers, and
iii) Make contact to discuss the opportunity.
The project entails both research as well as conversations with the prospective partners to forge the partnership.
This project is critical for our organization to scale our efforts to deploy Prakti Air cookstoves in the developing world. We have successfully conducted pilots of Prakti Air where we have received amazing feedback. Our next step is to deploy these cookstoves at scale at tea and coffee estates. By doing so we will be positively impacting the health of cooks (mostly women, children), saving them time (in gathering wood, in cooking), reducing their expenses, and reducing release of toxic gases in the atmosphere.
**DEW Overview:**
DEW seeks to rally the brightest minds and provide an eco-system to support them in taking on and successfully incubating and financing projects which tackle social and environmental challenges.

he only way CrowdDoing.world can realize its impact potential is through virtual volunteers, service learners(http://blog.reframeit.com/service-learning-and-skilled-volunteering/), and micro-leaders (https://real-leaders.com/leveraging-micro-leadership-to-make-aspirational-goals-achievable/) coming together.
See this brief video aboutMicro-leadership at CrowdDoing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhdB2YJ8Ocs&app=desktop). Micro-leadership means that each person adopts a dimension of responsibility for a collective problem in our society through collaborating on that area creatively individually and together through social innovation.
