The Children's Orchestra Society is in need of a volunteer fund-raiser, grant researcher and writer to help stabilize its financial status. It currently derives a little less than 50% of its yearly expenses from tuition. The rest comes from donations and grants. Right now, COS has no reserves. We would like to build up reserves of at least $200,000, and eventually raise an endowment of at least $500,000 to ease the burden of having to raise its annual expenses from scratch every year.

Hi, we are looking for someone to help us with our very first mobile autism app Autiknow with a product launch. It has recently been accepted into Apple iTunes, Google Play & AmazonSmiles. This app takes a child from early diagnosis through adulthood and is based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) which is the only evidence based methodology to teach persons with autism. We have successfully piloted the app in Boston Public Schools and have received 2 Software Trademarks. The app is intuitive, engaging, and a huge cost savings for school districts, parents/caregivers etc. One of the greatest features aside from the children's success is the built in Dashboard within the app that keeps massive amounts of data on the unique cognitive processes of each individual. We plan on making our data available to scientists, researchers, doctors, mathematicians etc in order for them to look at autism differently. We believe we are opening a new window into autism. We are not trying to cure autism but what are proving in our research is that given the tools (tech) at an early age these individuals with autism have the goods! Thank you for any support you may provide us. We are a very small volunteer non profit and are seeking consultations or support from anyone with expertise in a mobile product launch, PR & Marketing, Business Plan, Board Development and Development help in order to continue to pursue our mission.

Our equine protection program educates the public about equine protection issues, advocates for public policies to protect animals, partners with corporations and community minded companies on behalf of animal-friendly policies, investigates animal cruelty and provides animal rescue. We work to reduce the suffering of at risk equines and those designated for human consumption through education and awareness about practices that cause enormous suffering. We are seeking volunteers with strong attention to detail to support our work by taking on projects such as social outreach, research, telephone communications, data entry, and general administrative support. Volunteers will work remotely from their home and will be assigned work based on availability, skills and interest.
As a volunteer in this role, you will learn more about equine welfare issues, acquire useful skills, and rest well knowing you're helping us help wild and domestic equines around the country.
