The Planning Committee is responsible for strategic planning, short and long-range planning for the Corporation and goal setting.

Expertise Needed:
Persons with strategic and long range planning skills, varied experience with organizational and mission development principles and ability to provide organizational guidance at the macro level.

Specific Duties:
- Review SNAP’s mission, vision and values statements and offer modifications as appropriate.
- Assist with the creation, implementation and maintenance of agency strategic plan ensuring consistency with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
- Review and provide guidance on results of agency assessment tools like employee satisfaction surveys; client needs assessments and program outcome evaluations.
- Review Board Program Proposal sheets and make recommendations to full board about additions or changes to programs.
- Conduct Board educational training survey and coordinate training sessions on relevant organizational development and program topics.
- Report to full Board of Directors as appropriate efforts and findings of the Planning Committee.

NOPA is accepting applications for members of the voting board as well as advisory board. We are a diverse (age, gender, race, location) group of people who share an appreciation for the voice photography can bring to our community!

We are specifically looking for new members with experience in one of the following categories: tech development (CRM, web, virtual reality), business development and strategy, marketing, nonprofit accounting, leadership development, curation. Interest in photography is a plus but no experience is necessary. NOPA is always looking for members to join our community on the board, member, volunteer and participant level. Voting board members are expected to attend 6 1-2 hour annual virtual meetings, to participate in the annual GiveNOLA fundraiser, share and attend programs online when possilbe and attend PhotoNOLA Festival in New Orleans the second weekend of December.

Advisory board members are invited to meetings and encouraged to share programs and fundraising efforts. They are expected to attend the annual board meeting the Tuesday before PhotoNOLA Festival.

New Roots, a Louisville-based nonprofit organization is seeking BIPOC identifying board members to help us meet our mission of igniting community power for fresh food access.

Board members are required to attend bimonthly meetings (every third Monday, 5:30-7 PM), support the executive director, raise much needed funds from potential donors in your networks, and work on group projects with other board members and staff. For example, New Roots board members are presently focused on our corporate partnerships, where companies who employ hourly workers purchase fresh food for their employees as a wellness benefit.

WEConnect International will be hosting the Financing Your Growing Business Boot Camp for women business owners on June 22, 23, 29 and 30 in partnership with Moody's.

We are looking for volunteers to support this training which helps to provide education and industry expertise on creditworthiness and how to position their business for capital input and growth.

As a volunteer, you can assist with either running the logistics of the Boot Camp and/or presenting a specific training session. On-boarding and training will be provided to all volunteers and presenters and note this training will be run in Spanish.

• General Volunteer: These volunteers will support the overall delivery of the Boot Camp, working with WEConnect International to moderate breakout sessions, monitor and respond to attendee chat questions, or assist the presenters. Volunteers should be familiar with Zoom, able to answer general questions about creditworthiness in support of subject matter experts and have experience in virtual facilitation/moderation and a basic knowledge of Mexico and/or Cost Rica.

• Presenter: These volunteers will act as subject matter experts and deliver a training session on a specific topic – credit, financial statements, goal planning, sources of financing, capital planning, how to pitch or enterprise valuation. The presenter will be provided a pre-designed curriculum in PowerPoint and have the opportunity to suggest enhancements if needed. These volunteers should have experience presenting these topics to adult learners and an understanding of how these topics are or can be applied in Mexico and/or Costa Rica.
