Board Members sit on the Board of Directors for our organization. They are the guiding force behind the work that we do. Board Members have a connection to the district either as residents, business owners/employees, building owners, or organization partners. They choose to get involved in JP Centre/South Main Streets because they have a vested interest in the sustainability and vitality of our business district and the surrounding community.We address issues such as business scouting and support, location scouting, building development and design, community placemaking, technical assistance for businesses and organizations, and liaising with the city. We work to bring residents, business owners, and the City of Boston together to support our business district.
We accept Board Member applications on a rolling basis, for three year terms. Board Members attend monthly meetings and volunteer for planned events, as needed.

The development assistant will help out our Development Director in various aspects of funds development, including grant writing, event planning, communication with donors, report writing. We need a development assistant who is fluent in English and has an intermediate or advanced level of Spanish to communicate with the office staff and local donors. And who also has good communication skills. It would be great if you have experience in grant writing and report writing, in research based on qualitative and quantitative data, knowledge of graphic design and social media management.The development assistant will mainly work in the office; however, it is possible to arrange a schedule with more variety.

Job Description
- Promote Chic Geek brand and image within the community by overseeing the delivery of high impact programs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how programs support Chic Geek goals and vision
- Oversee financial budgets for Chic Geek programs
- Assist in preparing operational and financial reports for executive and board meetings
- Utilize data + analytics inputs to increase Chic Geek revenues
- Interview potential volunteers and develop managers
- Attend Executive Meetings as well as bi-monthly team meetings
- Work with the MeetnTech manager and Mentorship Program manager to develop annual plans and objectives
- Assist your team to develop personal development goals
- Evaluate planning processes to ensure that MeetnTech and Mentorship programs run smoothly
- Increase collaboration and knowledge-sharing between MeetnTech and Mentorship Program teams and the Chic Geek organization.
- Conduct regular check-ins with communications team members to ensure they are engaged and receive feedback on their work
- Keep MeetnTech and Mentorship Program teams accountable to the deadlines they set
- Support Chic Geek events and other team members as needed

We are in need of volunteers to review community resources as it relates to HTC's services to evaluate the need for a possible expansion into surrounding counties not already served by HTC. We request that the volunteer(s) spend time with us at HTC to understand how and what we do in order to do an accurate survey. Remaining time would be an offsite as needed.

T.R.A.C. volunteers must have a compassionate heart for teens, especially for those who have experienced abuse and neglect. We have a passion to encourage positive hope for every camper’s future. Each camp needs both men and women volunteers.
T.R.A.C. is a safe environment for youth to enjoy a time of adventure, fun and quality time with adults who care about them and enjoy spending time with them.
T.R.A.C. teens will experience outdoor activities like, hiking, archery, zipline, along with the Annual T.R.A.C. Olympic Games. Challenge Course provides a time to learn communication, solve problems and develop trust. Great food and fun evening activities are always a favorite for our campers!

Courageous Women Association is looking for a PT to FT Volunteer Coordinator to help lead 5 - 200 volunteers annually.This position is a non-paid volunteer position, providing someone with a wealth of experience and knowledge of working with a nonprofit and leading a team of 5 - 200 volunteers. Volunteer Coordinator will coordinate the activities and efforts of up to 200 volunteers, including; volunteer recruitment, training, placement, monitoring and evaluation. Coordinator will report directly to the Board of Directors and must have strong communication and management skills, since they will work with many different people. The position is on call, per program and can work with someone's schedule. Time commitment is a minimum of 5 hours per week volunteer time and flexible according to programs and needs. The Volunteer Coordinator manages all elements of volunteering for Courageous Women Association. The role involves assessing and meeting an organization's needs through the recruitment, placement, training and retention of volunteers.
The Volunteer Coordinator manages and fosters relationships with volunteers, staff, and outside service providers. In addition, the Coordinator will monitor, evaluate and approve volunteer hours.
This role may be combined with the leading and coordination of special events.
