Louisiana Recycling Coalition is a 501c3 organization. The mission is to improve recycling across our state, both in quantity and quality of material, through partnership, education and advocacy. We are looking for a self starter who is engaged in the day to day support, membership retention, membership growth and communication strategy. . The ideal candidate would be a flexible and mature professional who is a quick learner, demonstrates strong personal initiative, attention to detail and task follow through. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Membership Growth and Retention
Develop membership material
Outreach to new and prospective members
Provide membership support and database updates as needed
Communication Support
Write and Create e-newsletters and other communications pieces to support LRC
Assist with creation of materials for events and membership department
Collaborate on social media content and strategy
Design conference marketing for website, social media and email campaigns
Create and maintain marketing calendar and schedule of communications
Research, write and report as needed regarding recycling

On July 22nd, 24th, and 26th, Innovate Tech Charlotte will hold a Sustainability and AI™ summer camp at UNCC from 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM. This camp aims to empower high school students with the knowledge and skills needed for future careers in AI and sustainability, fostering the next generation of innovators and leaders.Goals of the Camp:
Provide hands-on experience with AI and sustainability technologies.
Inspire students to pursue careers in these fields.
Develop leadership and teamwork skills among participants.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:
Promoters:
Spread the word about the camp through social media, community boards, and local events.
Distribute flyers and promotional materials.
Engage with potential participants and their parents to provide information and answer questions.
Organizers:
Assist with setting up and decorating the venue.
Ensure all necessary materials and equipment are ready for each session.
Coordinate with speakers and instructors to maintain the schedule.
Session Assistants:
Help instructors with hands-on activities and workshops.
Provide guidance and support to students during their projects.
Ensure all students are engaged and participating actively.
Event Managers:
Oversee the smooth running of daily activities.
Address any issues or emergencies that may arise.

Time Commitment:

Financial Commitment:
In addition to their time and expertise, board members are expected to make a meaningful financial contribution to support STEM From Dance's programs and operations. We believe that each board member's commitment should reflect their personal capacity and dedication to our mission. Therefore, we ask board members to make a personal contribution starting at $5,000 annually. This contribution serves as an expression of your commitment to the organization and its goals. Furthermore, board members are encouraged to leverage their networks and connections to attract additional donations from their contacts. We ask board members to strive for a total fundraising goal of at least $5,000 annually from their network. This collective effort ensures that STEM From Dance has the financial resources needed to continue empowering girls of color in STEM and drive positive change in our communities.
