Opportunity DetailsOnce a month, students will meet for a designated professional development session. There are 10 personal and professional development topics that are facilitated through interactive workshops that promote the growth and development of each student in the program. These workshops are administered by company sponsors who provide speakers, or through the BLF Foundation. Open discussion is encouraged as different viewpoints can help students understand various ways to solve situations. During the mentorship program year, a portfolio of accomplishments is developed through student capstone projects, so that each student will be able to effectively market themselves to future employers and other opportunities.
As a volunteer, we would like for you to help the students craft communication to potential employees or individuals that are in hiring positions that they will reach out to LinkedIn. Drawing on your experience in the corporate world, we want to help them understand how to communicate efficiently and effectively in written communications.
