About This Cause

Aspect is the largest provider of autism-specific services in Australia. The organisation was founded in 1966 with one class of six students. Today, we provide services to around 11,000 people living with autism. Our programs accept children and adults on the spectrum regardless of age or degree of disability and follow a unique, evidence-based curriculum. Our autism-specific school system is one of the largest in the world, with 10 schools, 110 satellite classes and more than 1,100 students enrolled. Next to autism-specific education, our services include diagnostic and assessments, therapy including behaviour support, life-skill programs for adults on the spectrum, an employment service, support services for families of people on the spectrum and the provision of workshops and consultancies to other professionals and parents to assist them in the work with people with autism underpinned by Aspect's research program.
