Mission Statement
DoggieRescue is a no kill dog shelter which rescues dogs and cats from council pounds and rehabilitates and rehomes them. We aim to save as many animals as we can from council pounds.
About This Cause
Monika’s DoggieRescue: Over Two Decades of Transforming Lives Monika’s DoggieRescue is a Sydney-based private charity dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs ( and cats in smaller numbers) from city and regional pounds for more than 20 years. In recognition of her exceptional commitment, Monika Biernacki was awarded an OAM in 2021. Since its inception, DoggieRescue has successfully rehomed over 13,600 dogs, as well as over 500 cats—all made possible through the generosity of our dedicated supporters. In December 2021, DoggieRescue faced one of its most significant challenges, rescuing 28 Huskies from a hoarding situation on the Central Coast of NSW. This unprecedented intake placed immense pressure on already limited shelter resources, underscoring the vital role of our donors in sustaining our mission. Together, we can continue making a life-changing impact for animals in need.
