About This Cause
MS Queensland is a non-profit organisation that has been providing high-quality care and support to Queenslanders living with MS, other neurological conditions, and high support needs for over 65 years. Our mission is to help over 5,500 Queenslanders living with MS to get the best out of life, advocate for change, and search for a cure to MS. We offer vital services, such as nursing support, NeuroAssist info line, NDIS access support program, specialist disability accommodation intake support, wellness programs, education, and information for people living with MS and other neurological conditions. These programs are 100% supported by funds raised, and without dedicated individuals getting involved and raising much-needed funds, we would not be able to continue providing these essential services across Queensland. More than 10 Australians are diagnosed with MS every week, which is 1 to 2 Australians diagnosed every day. 75% of those diagnosed are women, and the average age of someone diagnosed is just 30 years old. As the only Queensland provider with specialised services, our support is holistic and personal, and we strive to ensure no Queenslander needs to face MS alone. At MS Queensland, we put well-being at the centre of everything we do, and we achieve this by being accessible, flexible, authentic, and connecting. We understand that everyone's story is different, but we are always there when and how we are needed, approachable and real, and provide the necessary support to help people living with MS and other neurological conditions.
