About This Cause
RSPCA Queensland exists to ensure a better future, free from cruelty, neglect and harm, for all domestic, farmed and native animals across the state. With a proud and long standing history we help over 47,000 animals in Queensland every year. Our team of 400 staff and almost 3,000 volunteers work tirelessly and passionately to give the best possible care to displaced domestic pets, as well as native wildlife patients in our Brisbane RSPCA Wildlife Hospital and Eumundi Rehabilitation Centre. Our future is focused on education, prevention and achieving social change. With this in mind, we focus our work across the three pillars of animals, people and community to provide high quality animal centres, educational programs and services, which positively impact thousands of animals each year. RSPCA Queensland’s community of compassionate and caring supporters provide an incredible 96% of our total annual income. Their loyalty and generosity is pivotal to realising our simple but powerful mission: Together We Change Lives. RSPCA Qld has a long, rich history of caring for all creatures great and small that spans over 130 years. Every person who works directly or indirectly with the RSPCA is dedicated to increasing the opportunities and improving the quality of life of each animal in their care. The RSPCA remains an independent animal welfare charity, striving to educate the community on its responsibilities and continuing to protect and enhance the welfare of animals.
