Mission Statement
We are an independent community organisation. We exist to: • serve as a focal point for the provision of services targeting the most disadvantaged people in the community to relieve suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution or helplessness; • assist and support families and individuals in our community to manage the challenges in their lives through the provision of services including case management, crisis intervention, counselling, childcare and a broad range of ongoing support services; • stimulate community development by co-operating and affiliating with any bodies whose objects are altogether or in part similar to those of the Company. About This Cause
3Bridges Community has been supporting vulnerable people for almost 40 years. Our vision is to help people live in connected and enriched communities. 3Bridges gives the community VOICE by: • Walking alongside • Making connections and • Enriching lives We employ 230 staff and 340 volunteers who support over 35,000 people each year across 15 centres. The company’s Head Office is located in Carss Park, Sydney and their service centre (1300 3BRIDGES) is resourced by a full time call centre operator. They maintain an on-call service manager (24 hours per day) to support clients after hours. There corporate governance framework is aligned to the Australian Charities and Not For Profit Commission’s Governance Framework and best practice standards recommended by the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Our services include: Aged and frail • Stay well at home - home modifications and care services which helps people stay at home • Be Connected positive and healthy ageing hubs, meeting centres, volunteering, health, wellness and learning programs Family and carers • Early intervention and prevention programs for youth aged 12 to 18 and their families. • Cultural diversity and wellness linking youth across many high schools with art, community and health support • Carer support and respite care targeted individual and social support • Social Inclusion programs aimed to enhance the quality of life for people with a disability and volunteer options Children and Youth • Before and After School and Vacation Care services for school aged children located at 4 sites within schools and a community centre. • Targeted Earlier Intervention programs across the St George Region. Sector capacity development • Training and volunteering services to increase capacity in the sector and community. • Pathways to employment providing training and work experience in services and social enterprises
