Mission Statement
We aim to transform Bosnia & Herzegovina into a prosperous nation that can respond to the challenges of the 21st Century. By empowering the youth through education, technology and leadership, we shape the next generation of change makers.
About This Cause
Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation is the fastest growing, not for profit talent incubator and accelerator in the Western Balkans. We empower youth through non formal education, technology access and development of world class leadership skills. By 2030 we will grow to a community of 10,000+ change makers who strive for the advancement of quality of life in Bosnia & Herzegovina. We will bring about positive change by empowering youth to take action in their local communities and build global networks. Our programs are truly transformative and high school, undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to become BH Futures Foundation scholars. Our scholars are provided with (but not limited to): a dedicated senior industry mentor, career counselling from global HR experts, professional development with partnering organisations, internships & jobs (local & international), application support in Masters/PhD programs, projects & grants, organised industry/company visits, webinars, online courses & face to face lectures/workshops from local and international experts in their fields. Furthermore they gain access to our makerspaces, where they can utilise technologies not always available through their formal education. The foundation strongly believes in mobility and as such, our scholars travel abroad for internships, conferences and other forms of professional and cultural enrichment. All of our scholars are also volunteers, giving back to their communities. They volunteer a minim of 100 hours annually. We provide technical and financial support to entrepreneurially minded scholars through our globally recongised innovation & entrepreneurship program called "Innovation Nation". While the youth we support live, study and work Bosnia & Herzegovina, our team is truly global. We are a volunteer organisation and our supporters come from all over Bosnia & Herzegovina and 40+ countries around the world where our diaspora resides. The foundation is supported by a board of directors, ambassadors, mentors, speakers and companies who strive towards a common goal. Our team is made up of predominantly young and successful entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, business expert and other professionals with globally relevant experience and strong communication and leadership abilities.
