WoMakersCode is a non-profit organization with the mission to empower diverse and low-income women in technology by offering education, mentorship, and employability support, helping them transition to tech careers or advance in their current roles.
About This Cause
WoMakersCode is a Brazilian non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and promoting the inclusion of women (cisgender and transgender) in technology. Since its founding in 2015, WoMakersCode has been equipping women with the technical and soft skills they need to accelerate their career paths in the tech industry. Through a wide range of free programs, workshops, mentoring, and bootcamps, we offer training in areas such as software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, and user experience. At the core of our mission is the belief that professional and economic empowerment is the key to helping women achieve financial independence, realize their dreams, and transform their lives. By enabling women to enter and thrive in high-demand technology fields, we are directly contributing to closing gender gaps in tech and advancing diversity and inclusion in the industry. As official partners of the UN Global Compact in Brazil, we are deeply committed to advancing gender equality and promoting diversity. Over the years, we have received numerous accolades for our contributions, including UN Global Compact Brazil 2024, São Paulo Human Rights and Diversity Seal, Racial Equality Seal of São Paulo, Nelson Mandela Award 2023 and Top 3 Cisco Cyber Education Marathon 2024.
