Mission Statement

Contribute to the construction of a fair, sustainable and solidary Brazil that eliminates the causes of poverty and inequality. We work with partners and allies as part of a national and global movement for social transformation.

About This Cause

Oxfam Brasil is a non-profit and independent Brazilian civil society organization created in 2014 to build a Brazil with more justice and less inequality. Our office is in São Paulo. We operate in four thematic areas: Rural Justice and Development, Social and Economic Justice, Racial and Gender Justice and Climate Justice and the Amazon. Among our action strategies are working in partnership and alliance with other organizations and sectors of Brazilian civil society, public engagement, campaigning and advocacy with the public and private sectors. We are part of a global network, Oxfam, which has 21 members working in 87 countries around the world, through campaigns, programs and humanitarian aid. For us, challenging inequalities is to give people space, voice and power so that they can fully exercise their rights, to contribute to the construction of a fairer and less unequal country.
