Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide counseling, quality education and training,good health, nutritious food and psycho-social support to orphans and vulnerable children in Cameroon with focus on empowering girls for sustainable development.
About This Cause
OBJECTIVES COUNSELING To improve the mental health and emotional health of orphans/vulnerable children undergoing violence from caregiver or society, sexual abuse, slavery and other human right violations. To provide trauma counseling to girls who have suffered sexual and domestic violence. To fight to the use of illicit drugs by adolescents and to provide psycho-education to children and families with psychological disorders. To train social workers in trauma counseling and psychotherapy EDUCATION To provide quality education to orphaned children using modern educational technologies for sustainable development. To empower orphaned children with special needs as well as to train more teachers in special education to reduce the gap for children with special needs. To foster inclusive to ensure all learners, regardless of their abilities or challenges, have equal access to quality education and participate fully in learning environments, To empower girls in entrepreneurship and business management to improve professionalism. HEALTH To fight malnutrition in children through rehabilitation programs and education. To fight diseases in children through improved sanitation and hygiene programs. To educate girls on sexual and reproductive health rights to prevent teenage pregnancy, STI, as well as sexual violence like rape. – To provide access to health care for children in rural communities. TARGET GROUPS Beneficiaries of help for orphans in Cameroon are both boys and girls and are as follows: -Orphans whose parents died during birth or as they grow up and has no one to sponsor their education or health (ages 1 to 17). - Children born of parents with intellectual and physical disabilities who are 1 to 17 years old with no financial standing. -Orphans with learning and intellectual disability of the ages 1 to 17. - HIV positive orphans. - Traumatized girls who were Sexually abused of the ages 8 to 17. - Girls forced into early marriages. -Girls who have dropped out of school
