We foster the personal growth and professional development of students by providing the foremost Canadian undergraduate business competition.
About This Cause
JDC West is the largest undergraduate business case competition in Western Canada. The competition takes place annually in January at a host university, and is a 3 day event comprising four main components: 10 Academic Business Cases Parliamentary Style Debate Tournament Multi-Sport Athletics Tournament Practical & Cultural Social Challenges Schools compete in each of the aforementioned areas, in addition to competing for the business school of the year award. Charity has been an essential pillar of JDC West and is part of the spirit of the competition. This portion of the competition provides benefits to not only delegates but also to the communities in which delegates reside. It is intended to serve several purposes, including: Providing an opportunity to practice the JDC West theme for the year Encouraging teamwork amongst delegates Engaging in activities that all delegates can participate in Increasing delegate involvement within their communities Showing support of communities on behalf of JDC West Providing development opportunities for delegates
