About This Cause

The Canadian Celiac Association / L’Association canadienne de la maladie coeliaque (now known as Celiac Canada) is a volunteer-based, federally registered charitable organization with its national office in Mississauga, Ontario. Celiac Canada is the only national charity championing how to find, treat & cure celiac disease so those with the disease can safely manage their lifelong gluten-free journey. A world leader for the best medical, lifestyle and policy solutions that restore your health by improving access to safe gluten-free food, support, standards of care, education & research. We strive to help meet the vital needs of people suffering from the disease. In 2023, the organization changed its name to Celiac Canada / Coeliaque Canada to reflect its transition away from a membership-based model in 2020. The CCA is governed by an elected national board of directors with regional representation across Canada. The Board develops policies and strategies for the association and provides leadership and guidance to chapters. Chapters are independent charitable organizations each of which is governed by an elected executive committee.
