Deaf & Hear Alberta is a charitable non-profit organization. We are dedicated to addressing the accessibility, advocacy, education, and communication needs of the Deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing populations of Alberta.
About This Cause
With our head office in Calgary, Alberta, we excel at communication through the delivery of ASL services, workplace sensitivity training, advocacy, and education to Deaf consumers and their families. We provide interpreting, consultation, assessments, and assistive technology. We provide training and education for hearing loss prevention and management and aim to improve the public’s awareness and understanding. Mission To bring together Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing Albertans with service and technology options to advance access and opportunity. Vision A world where the Deaf, hard of hearing, and those at risk of hearing loss are recognized and respected so they can fully participate in society.
