About This Cause
Klinic Community Health provides a full range of health-related services from medical care to counselling and education. Driven by our vision of creating healthy and engaged communities, we promote health and quality of life for people of every age, background, ethnicity, gender identity, and socio-economic circumstance. Rooted in social justice values, we believe that everyone deserves quality care, support and respect. Our mission is to offer primary health care, mental health care and community health services to enhance individual and community capacity. For over 50 years, Klinic has recognized the diverse needs and experiences of people most impacted by discrimination and oppression. On our path towards Truth and Reconciliation, we will work to decolonize systems and practices with cultural humility. We are committed to providing safe, quality, holistic care that is person-centred, and strive to ensure our organization and work reflects and honours the communities we serve. We operate eleven 24/7/365 crisis and support lines in Manitoba, including the Manitoba Suicide Prevention and Support Line. Our Mental Health and Wellness services include family violence programming; sexual assault crisis programming and programming for individuals transitioning from the sex trade, as well as short and long-term counselling. Health services include the Transgender Health Klinic, primary care and our mobile withdrawal management service.
