Mission Statement
Scouts Canada is the country's leading youth organization. For more than 100 years, we have brought a world of adventure, outdoor experience and friendship to 17 million Canadian youth. Scouts have a lot of fun discovering new things and experiences they wouldn't have elsewhere. Along the way they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world. Scouts Canada makes one simple promise to Canadian youth, parents and society: “Scouts have fun adventures discovering new things and experiences they wouldn’t discover elsewhere. Along the way they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world. Scouts is the start of something great. It starts with Scouts.

Mission: To help develop well rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world. As a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, Scouts Canada engages youth, involving them throughout their formative years in a non-formal educational process, using a specific Method that makes each individual the principal agent of his or her development as a self-reliant, supportive, responsible and committed person. The Scout Method is an approach unique to Scouting throughout the world. Scouts Canada commits to employing exciting programs that engage youth in their own experiential learning, with support from an increasingly younger and diverse team of high quality volunteer leaders and competent professionals. Today, more than 30 million youth and adults, boys and girls, take part in Scouting programs in 161 countries and territories worldwide.
