About This Cause
The Salvation Army is an international organization dedicated to serving God and humanity. The Salvation Army St. Catharines Booth Centre has two separate programs to serve men 18 + in the community. We offer a 26-bed dormitory style shelter to men experiencing homelessness. Services include meals, clothing assistance, laundry facilities, spiritual care, and access to caseworkers to help work towards housing goals and referral services to meet the needs of the individual. The Salvation Army Community Residential Facility offers 15 beds of accommodation for men 18 + who are released from federal institutions on temporary absence, day parole or statutory release. This allows for reintegration into the community. Caseworkers provide support through the reintegration process with case plans, job search, and referral services for overall wellbeing.
