Mission Statement

The Royal Canadian Army Cadets have a distinguished history of service to the youth of Canada. The Cadet programme is a vehicle by which young people learn to be leaders and good citizens in preparation for the responsibilities of adulthood. Presently there are over 6500 Army Cadets in cadet corps in 110 communities within Ontario. Our Cadet Corps are comprised of male and female, ages 12 to 18 years of age, from various economic and cultural backgrounds.

About This Cause

The Army Cadet League of Canada Ontario Branch works in partnership with the Department of National Defence in the conduct and delivery of the cadet programme. Although the Department of National Defence provides funding for mandatory training there are many aspects of training considered optional training funded through the League and local support. The League also provides honours and awards for outstanding cadet members who serve not only their cadet corps but also their community as well.
