About This Cause
In 2009/2010, UJA Federation, backed by our exceptional Jewish community, continued to demonstrate outstanding leadership, making it one of the most successful, vital and emulated Diaspora communities. Today, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto stands out from virtually every other North American Jewish Federation due to our visionary determination to successfully increase allocations and initiate strategic, innovative projects with our community agencies that meet well-defined needs, improving the lives of Jews, literally, across the street and across the globe. And, in a year that was truly remarkable, it was fitting that, on a May day in downtown Toronto, with temperatures soaring to Jerusalem-like temperatures, the year culminated with an historic Walk with Israel, launched, in person, by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. What a year. What a community. What a partnership.
