Mission Statement

To provide individuals and families impacted by addiction access to a network of interdisciplinary recovery-focused addiction care services.

About This Cause

Turning Point Recovery Society currently provides a continuum of addictions and mental health recovery programs in the Lower Mainland of BC including licensed bed-based treatment - with 73 beds for adults in six sites, and 7 Community-based Outreach counselling programs. Our Outreach and Resource Support program (OARS) and our Community Counselling program (TPOCC) program offer no cost counselling and referral services for homeless individuals and those at risk of homelessness as a result of substance use and/or mental health issues, poverty, unemployment and other quality of life indicators. Our Overdose Prevention Program (TPOPP) provides overdose prevention counselling, and continuing care and supports for at risk adults. Turning Point also operates Supportive and Affordable Housing units in Richmond BC; a Drop-in Center and Shower Program, a Warming Centre in Richmond for the Winter months, and a social enterprise café. We are currently expanding to add 25 units of supportive housing for women and children in Richmond BC, as well as working with another non-profit to bring 20 treatment beds and 36 supportive housing units to North Vancouver Island.
