Mission Statement
The Laurel Centre, Inc. is a non profit agency that is trauma specific in working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual victimization and exploitation.
About This Cause
The Laurel Centre, Inc. provides long term trauma therapy to women, men and youth who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and want to resolve the long term effects of the unresolved trauma. Many of our clients struggle with low self esteem, mental health issues, relational difficulties, and for some compulsive coping behaviors and addictions. We are one of the only agencies in Canada whose sole focus is on the treatment of Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse. In addition, we are one of the only programs that have an Emergency Shelter program for men and their children fleeing an abusive relationship or exceptional violence in their lives.
