Mission Statement
To build community through the practice of jazz & blues dances by offering classes and events that are accessible to all Montrealers regardless of age, income or identity. Together we learn, play, improvise, connect and deepen our collective understanding of jazz & blues dance and music, including the Black culture and community from which they stem.
About This Cause
A living dance. A living studio. A living community. For 25 years, we have been gathering a community around swing and jazz dances and music. We teach classes for adults and children (lindy hop, charleston, tap, balboa, blues..), and host a dance party every Friday. We offer a solidarity sliding scale tarification and we promote accessibility through the "Ethel Bruneau Scholarship" to increase accessibility to tap dance education, and our "pay it forward" campaign for all our programming.
