Comite Organisateur de GNCTR 2025

Montréal, Quebec, H3G2W1 Canada

Mission Statement

We are proud to say that our hard-working organizing committee from Concordia University has won the bid to host the 51st edition of GNCTR in the city of Montréal (Tiohtià:ke) for January 2025. The last competition hosted in the province of Québec took place in 2008 and was organized by the University of Sherbrooke. It is our honour and privilege to bring the competition back to this province. We look forward to working with the Montréal community to make it one of the best competitions to date and a memorable event for the participants as well as the public.

About This Cause

Our committe is responsible for organizing the 51st edition of GNCTR in Montréal. GNCTR, or the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race, is Canada’s longest running national engineering competition. Since its beginning in Alberta in 1974, the event has since spread nationwide, bringing together nearly 500 students from over 20 higher education institutions every year. The entirely alumni-run competition is hosted by a different Canadian city each winter, typically alternating between an Eastern and Western university.
