Mission Statement

To provide accurate, up-to-date information and ongoing support to individuals with an acoustic neuroma and their families to help improve their quality of life.

About This Cause

The Acoustic Neuroma Association of Canada (ANAC) is a registered charity, the only one of its kind in Canada dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by acoustic neuroma—a rare type of brain tumor impacting approximately 1 in 100,000 people. While classified as benign, acoustic neuroma can significantly affect quality of life due to its associated symptoms and treatment side effects, which may include hearing loss, single-sided deafness, tinnitus, facial weakness or paralysis, vestibular issues, visual impairment, headaches, cognitive changes, and psychological challenges. ANAC is committed to providing vital support and resources, along with public education and advocacy, to ensure the best possible quality-of-life outcomes for those facing an acoustic neuroma diagnosis.
