Our 10-year Strategic Plan Mission Statement: To build a strong, resilient and healthy community strengthened through meaningful collaborations with our committed volunteer force and dedicated partners.
About This Cause
Nestled on 10 acres of land, the Buckhorn Community Centre (BCC) is the largest event facility in our area offering an 10,000 square foot main building, 11 pavilions, a covered patio and picturesque garden with a water feature. We are open year-round and offer barrier-free accessibility. The BCC's Signature Events include the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival; two dinner theatres; spring and fall craft shows; and a golf tournament. The BCC also organizes community events that include Canada Day, Bucktoberfest, Blizzardfest, bargain barns, a Robbie Burns dinner, Festival of Trees, happy hours, Christmas home tour, Elvis!, and more! These events attract 15,000 attendees annually. There's always something happening at the BCC! Every day, the community centre is busy with many activities that may include exercise classes, badminton, pickle ball, use of the weight room & gym, cards, wood carving, art workshops, cooking classes, singing, playing musical instruments, dance classes, children's activities, holiday activities for children, bridge, lunch and learn and more. These community activities attract more than 4000 annually. Additionally, we rent out space for events such as weddings, celebrations of life, birthday parties, luncheons, cottage association meetings and partner organizations. These events are attended by over 3000 community members.
