CALGARY ALPHA HOUSE SOCIETY

CALGARY, Alberta, T2G 1G4 Canada

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a safe and caring environment for individuals whose lives are affected by alcohol and other drug dependencies.

About This Cause

Alpha House Society has been a part of the Calgary community for over 40 years. In that time, we’ve been recognized as a leader in helping individuals who are struggling with addictions and mental health issues, which are often a result of early trauma in their lives. Following a continuum of care model, we help people find the resources they need to live healthier lives and to find appropriate housing, which is often the key to supporting long term well-being and improved health. Through our partnerships with other agencies, we seek to fill the gaps in the homeless serving sector and reduce the duplication of services so that we can remove barriers and support our clients towards improved circumstances. We operate an Emergency Shelter, Detox, Housing (Scattered Site and Permanent-Supportive Housing), and Outreach (HELP (formerly DOAP), Encampment, Needle Response, and Ambassador Teams) Programs 24/7.
