Mission Statement
(Mission statement from GMCC's Constitution): The German Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary exist to preserve, promote and develop the unique aspects of the German male choral tradition and the German-Canadian culture.
About This Cause
The German Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary is an approximately 30-strong society of singers who are a registered charity in Alberta. The chorus normally sings in and around Calgary, with a mixed English/German repertoire of songs. Typically the chorus will hold one to three major concerts in a year. Some concerts are held, chiefly in December, free of charge in seniors' homes and nursing homes. The chorus occasionally travels and sings both within and outside of Canada, representing both Alberta and German-Canadian culture.
