Using kindness and compassion to create a healthy community by understanding, empowering, supporting, protecting and respecting the children, youth, families, seniors and individuals we work with and one another.

About This Cause

We are a non profit agency with programs funded by the provincial and federal governments for child and family programs such as better beginnings (pre and postnatal nutrition and support program), healthy families drop in 2.5 - 10 yrs(focusses on literacy health, social, emotional, independence and behavioral development) and family place drop in and meal 0 - 6yrsl(focusses on crafts, socialization, outings and support), story time in the park, fostering literacy, Family navigation(focusses on promoting community belonging, supporting indigenous culture, language) Child care resource and Referral (CCRR provides support to Hope and area as well as Boston Bar for families looking for child care, assistance with subsidies, recruitment, education for child care providers. We also run the Hope Community Food Resource Center ( Food Bank ) which is not funded by Government and relies solely on the generous donations from the community, provincial and federal Food bank programs. We offer a community meal for eat in or take (numbers reduced due to COVID), food hampers with the emphases on healthy meals and food. Our goal is to develop a place where people can come and learn to prepare healthy food, learn about the need for healthy food and living, socialize and teach children how to cook.
