Mission Statement
The principal goal of the Johann Strauss Foundation is to encourage and support through scholarships young musicians from Alberta, who wish to continue and further their advanced studies of music in the cultural environment of Austria.
About This Cause
Since 1975 The Johann Strauss Foundation has supported 145 young musicians with over 170 scholarships paid from the earnings of the endowment amounting to over $900,000.00 in granted scholarships. We continue to raise funds to build the endowment to fund more scholarship and ensure that future musicians have the same opportunities. The Johann Strauss Foundation scholarships is the only such opportunity for young musicians in Canada.
