About This Cause

Maritime Sikh Society was established in 1967 by pioneer Sikh families in Nova Scotia and since been an integral part of the lives of the Sikhs living in the region. Maritime Sikh Society Gurdwara was built in 1978 when the Sikh population was very small and is of the size of a small house. With the recent influx of new immigrants, the need to have bigger gurdwara was felt so the construction is started since Dec 2019. Currently, Gurdwara is closed due to ongoing construction and Sikh community and MAritime Sikhs Society is reaching out to Sikh everywhere to collects funds to complete the construction.
