About This Cause
Special Olympics is more than an event; it delivers world-class sport programs daily to over 26,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities in over 110 communities across Ontario. Special Olympics programs are delivered by thousands of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers ensure Special Olympics athletes have programmatic excellence. It is in the local communities where lives are changed, barriers are broken, and the joys of sportsmanship and camaraderie between athletes is best witnessed. Special Olympics provides a place where everyone belongs, through mutual respect, dignity, acceptance and inclusion.
