Mission Statement

Anago cultivates opportunities for at-risk youth and vulnerable adults to achieve independence through integration into communities of support.

About This Cause

For more than fifty years, Anago has been building stronger communities by helping at-risk children, youth and vulnerable adults navigate critical transitions in their lives. As a registered charity, Anago’s work focuses on child and youth mental health and safety, youth justice and developmental disability services. These services are designed around positive and productive community integration, or helping to “lead from one place to a better place”, a translation of the original Greek ana-ago. Anago was founded in the belief that each individual has gifts to share with differing abilities, not disabilities. Adopting a relationship-based focus to our work, Anago provides programs and services to at risk children and youth with concurrent mental health diagnoses, youth in conflict with the law, and persons with developmental challenges throughout their life stages. Anago runs residential programs and community support programs throughout London, Middlesex and Huron Counties. Anago is proud to build on its strengths and more than fifty-year heritage of providing safe, therapeutic and educational environments, beneficial relationships and life expanding opportunities for at-risk children, youth and vulnerable adults. We also look to the future for continued sustainability and progress in facilitating the successful independence, community integration and personal achievements of those individuals we pledge to assist in their life journeys.
