Founded in 1987, Richmond Hospital Foundation is a registered charity committed to ensuring donor dollars have 100% impact on building and better and healthier future for Richmond. About This Cause
Serving families, Richmond Hospital is a vital part of our community, providing compassionate, lifesaving health care close to home. Richmond Hospital offers an extensive range of health care services including 24-hour Emergency care, many different surgical services, cancer care, treatments, state-of-the-art medical imaging and a birth centre. Due to the advancement of today’s medical technologies and rapid growth of the population, tax dollars only pay for the basics of health care. Government can only sufficiently fund the daily operating and administrative costs of our hospital, Richmond Hospital needs donors’ support to fill the gap between government funding and the greater needs of the hospital. Donations help Richmond Hospital buy most urgently needed medical equipment, renovate out-of-date hospital units, giving our doctors and medical teams the vital tools they need to provide the best lifesaving care to every patient at Richmond Hospital. Richmond Hospital Foundation, is a registered charity, dedicated to ensuring donors’ dollars have 100 percent impact on improving health care in Richmond. We work closely with our doctors and health care teams as well as hospital leadership to ensure donations are directed to areas of greatest need. The Foundation has raised nearly $75 million since it was founded in 1987. Being able to inspire joyful giving is one of the core values of our Foundation.
