Mission Statement
At River Parkway/River Heights Children's Centre, we view children as being competent, capable, curious and rich in potential. To strengthen the quality of our program and ensure high quality experiences that lead to positive outcomes in relation to children's learning, development, health and well-being, we now use the document "How Does Learning Happen (HDLH)". HDLH is a professional learning resource that provides a common framework to help programs focus on knowledge from research, theory and practice on what's most important for children. It encompasses a broad range of program philosophies and approaches.
About This Cause
To provide high quality early learning and child care with support to parents in their child rearing responsibilities. Provided at 40 Cleary Avenue, Ottawa, a toddler program for 25 children (ages 18 to 30 months), a preschool program for 32 children (ages 2 1/2 to 5 years). Also provided at River Heights Children's Centre at 1515 Tenth Line Road, Orleans, a toddler program for 15 children (ages 18 to 30 months) plus a preschool program at the same location for 24 children (ages 2 1/2 to 5 years.)
