Mission Statement
The Janeway is a facility where healing, teaching and discovery go hand-in-hand. Each Janeway department has a unique purpose in providing excellent care to their patients. From the Emergency Department, where a teenager will be rushed by air ambulance after a near fatal car accident in Labrador, to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where a 13 oz. baby will be given a chance to grow and develop. The Janeway team will be here when the children in your life need them most. From the moment a child is born in this province, through their early childhood years and adolescent milestones, the Janeway is ready to provide critical, life-saving care, and to nurture their healthy growth and development.
About This Cause
The Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation is a registered Canadian charitable organization created to raise funds to benefit the health care of Newfoundland and Labrador's most precious resource - our children. The overwhelming support received from you, our donors, enables the Foundation to support our province’s only pediatric hospital, The Janeway Children’s Health & Rehabilitation Centre, and to invest in the health care of our children - from the unborn infant to children up to 18 years of age. Through the Foundation your donations have contributed to the purchase of the latest in modern medical equipment; the continued education of Janeway Staff and the research and programs directly related our children’s health and welfare.
