Mission Statement
Vantage Point is on a mission to transform BC's not-for-profit organizations. We do this by delivering relevant, high-impact learning opportunities that focus on governance, leadership, planning and human resources. By equipping the sector, we're lifting the capacity of not-for-profit organizations and building a network of generative leaders.
About This Cause
At Vantage Point, we believe not-for-profit staff and volunteer leaders can and should have every advantage as they address some of the most challenging issues in communities across our province. Not-for-profits are successful at achieving more meaningful change in our communities when they have the resources and skills to be effective. Think about the leadership skills and knowledge required for those championing environmental, social justice, health and community causes. Local arts and cultural groups, senior centres and all the not-for-profit leaders and volunteers who stand alongside the most vulnerable truly make our communities places to treasure. It’s hard to imagine a world without these, often vital and life-saving, programs, and services. Vantage Point grew out of the critical need to invest in capacity building by addressing the changing paradigm of volunteerism in the not-for-profit sector. We believe that organizations are only as strong as their people – leaders, board directors, volunteers, and staff.
