About This Cause
Current membership is 40 members, ages 59 - 91. Membership is open to all residents of Manitoba, retired or semi-retired who are 55 years and older. We provide a facility for swimming and exercise to members to improve their physical abilities and health. We promote positive attitudes towards life among members for keeping them physically and mentally fit. We provide health orientated programs and lectures for the benefit of the members. We promote multicultural harmony and congeniality among the members without discrimination of any kind and we seek to programs of sociability and recreational values. We currently have a contract with The City of Winnipeg at Sargent Tommy Prince Place (formerly the North Centennial Recreational and Leisure Centre) where members can swim and exercise for one hour per day Tuesdays - Fridays. We hold social gatherings after our swim on Tuesday's and Friday's and members attend church events and plays in groups within the community and outings to events that are hosted by our Royal Canadian Legions.
