The Hunger Project is a global, not-for-profit, strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. We share a vision of a world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity.
About This Cause
The Hunger Project Canada addresses this issue by mobilizing Canadians to partner with us to support people in living healthy and fulfilling lives of self-reliance and dignity. The Hunger Project-Canada is a national chapter of the global organization. Fundamental to The Hunger Project’s values is the inherent belief that all people are extraordinary. People are creative, visionary and hardworking. We value human dignity and believe in people’s inherent entrepreneurial spirit. We stand in solidarity with those living in hunger and poverty as the principal leaders of their own change, who are taking self-reliant actions to improve their lives and conditions in their communities. This is the sustainable pathway to ending hunger once and for all. While adapted to meet local challenges, at the heart of our work are three essential pillars: 1) Start by Empowering Women as Key Change Agents 2) Mobilize Entire Communities into Self-Reliant Action 3) Foster Effective Partnerships to Engage Local Government
