Mission Statement
Making children smile. Helping families cope. Starlight Children’s Foundation® Canada does what no medicine can do: create priceless smiles and memories for seriously ill children and their families. For over 30 years, Starlight Canada has been spreading joy to sick kids across the country through a unique blend of hospital to home programs designed for the whole family. With your help, together we can create more magic in-hospital, grant more wishes out-of-hospital and spread more sparkles across Canada!
About This Cause
Starlight Children’s Foundation® Canada has been dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families for over 30 years. Focusing on the family as a whole, our mission is to bring joy, laughter, relief and a whole lot of smiles. Our large variety of in-hospital and outpatient programs help bring back some strength, hope and lost childhood by being that reliable and shining star in a dark and stormy sky. What makes Starlight unique is that we are there for the entire journey — from hospital to home. While in-hospital, Starlight gives kids a much-needed distraction from the stress and boredom of hospitalization. From toys to the latest technology to full-blown parties, we replace that fear and loneliness with fun and excitement! While out-of-hospital, we’re granting wishes of all sizes with our Day Brightener Wishes, Great Escapes® Wishes and Once In A Lifetime Wishes programs to make sure Starlight families always have a reason to believe in magic.
